Last we discussed mobile surveillance utilizing advanced technology beyond the scope of a standard handheld videocamera. In that a complete system was outlined utilizing the most up to date equipment.
In the second part of this three part installment we are going to discuss using this equipment at night or on extreme low light conditions. The mounted PTZ camera and with IR cannot film in low light conditions with the IR through the rear tinted windows of your vehicle. Doing so will cause you to film the interior of your vehicle. Taking this into consideration it is recommended that you film your subject or activity with your windows slightly down in order to have a clear visual of your subject. Utilizing a blacked out sun shade will give you the needed privacy from the front of your vehicle while allowing you to monitor the activity on the LCD located in the front seat.
Part 3 will be next and feature using the mobile surveillance system in a static setting while remotely obtaining the video.
